The SACS Liaison officer establishes a relationship with the Commission staff by

  • Provides an identified place on campus where information can be disseminated and questions answered about institutional accreditation
  • Maintains a file of all accreditation materials such as committee reports, manuals, schedules of visits
  • Familiarizes the campus with the Commission's policies and procedures
  • Ensures that accreditation requirements are considered during the Self-Study and incorporated into the planning and evaluation process of the institution
  • Notifies the Commission in advance of substantive changes and program developments
