The purpose of the Distance Education Committee (DEC) with regards to distance education at GSC is to:
- Provide faculty support
- Maintain an overview of faculty engagement
- Recommend policy, as needed
Therefore, DEC members (and the additional faculty available for assistance listed below) will serve as liaisons to faculty who are teaching hybrid/online eLearning courses or who are enhancing a “traditional” course with eLearning components. It is recommended that a liaison from your School be contacted with questions pertaining to pedagogy, best practices, or assistance with the various eLearning tools. In the event the faculty liaison is unable to assist you then contact either Haley Carter (Oakwood) or John Williams (Oconee).
