Mission

The Office for International Student Services is committed to the personal and professional development of International Students. Our mission is to educate GSC students, staff and faculty about internationalism by promoting awareness of culturally diverse issues through programs, workshops and events.

The Coordinator for International Student Services, through the Institute for Global Initiatives, coordinates an orientation program to provide new F-1 international students with information about campus resources and responsibilities related to their visa status; coordinates, in conjunction with a sociology faculty person, a cultural buddy program to promote intercultural relations; and advises the International Student Association, a campus organization whose mission is to promote awareness of international cultures and issues.
