The Accounting tutor is located in the J. Foster Watkins Academic Building, ACTT Center adjacent to the front desk.
The Accounting tutor is available to help students by explaining the theory, principles, and different methods of accounting. Accounting homework can be checked for accuracy and further explanation of the problems being worked.
Hours of Operation
Fall/Spring Terms
Monday - Tuesday 12:00 till 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday 2:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m.
Thursday 3:00 p.m. till 7:00 p.m.
Summer Term
Tuesday - Wednesday 10:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m.
Thursday 12:00 a.m. till 5:00 p.m.
Appointments
Tutoring is available on a drop-in basis.
What Students Should Bring to a Tutoring Session:
- calculator, pencil, textbook, and notes from instructor’s lectures
- homework that has been attempted
What Students Should NOT Expect from a Tutoring Session:
- to have one-on-one tutoring the whole time during their stay with the tutor (this only happens if no one else comes in for help)
- to have your homework completed by the tutor
- help with an online test
Recommendations:
Do not wait until the last minute for help. Your instructor should be your first resource for help if you missed a class. If you want to succeed in accounting, you need to work the problems more than once.
