The Dantes Subject Standardized Tests (DSST), formerly Dantes, is a national credit by examination program recognized by the American Council on Education. University of North Gerogia is an open DSST Testing Center. All DSST examinations are administered on an appointment basis Monday through Friday. This test scheduling system provides the student the maximum amount of flexibility in scheduling an exam.
DSST testing is available on both campuses. You must contact the Gainesville or Oconee Campus Testing Center approximately one week in advance of a proposed testing date.
All DSST examinations are:
- Computer delivered exams,
- Have a 120 minute time limit, and
- Cost $110.00. This $110.00 fee is established by DSST and is broken down into an $80.00 exam fee and a $30.00 testing site fee.
Cell phones are not permitted in the testing lab. Please leave your cell phone in your car or you may leave it in the Testing Center Office.
A maximum of 30 semester hours of any combination of CLEP, DSST, AP, and IB credit may be recorded on a student’s academic record.
