Gainesville State College welcomes students from other countries. The presence of international students fosters cultural exchange, which can be beneficial to the student body and to the community at large. International students may enroll in any program of study offered at Gainesville State College. International applicants must submit the following credentials
at least 6 months prior to the desired semester of enrollment:
- must submit a sworn affidavit of support from the financial sponsor and a notarized letter from the sponsor's bank showing funds available for tuition, fees and living expenses for one year.
- must submit an original or certified true copy of all high school and college transcripts, translated into English.
- Social Security number. Applications for Social Security numbers may be obtained from any United States Post Office. or at Social Security Online.
- must submit official satisfactory scores on the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) English proficiency exam. I-20 will be issued after the file is complete and the student has been accepted to Gainesville State College.
