Purpose
The Speakers Bureau scholarship was established in 2008 by the Office for Diversity Initiatives and Intercultural Relations and the International Student Association (ISA) to provide GSC students with an interest in multiculturalism and internationalism an opportunity to present educational research related to these areas to faculty, staff, students and the Gainesville community.
Amount
Scholarhip amounts are $250 for individuals and groups. There are two scholarships available in fall and two in spring. Scholarship awards are contingent upon funding.
Guidelines
Applicants for the Speaker’s Bureau scholarship must:

be enrolled at Gainesville State College

submit an outline of their presentation along with their scholarship application

be available for an interview with 3 GSC faculty/staff members

complete 2 presentations for a class, student club, and/or community group

Deadline
Applications for the Speaker’s Bureau scholarship must be submitted to Tashiana Cheeks by Wednesday, August 24, 2011. Applicants will be notified of decisions by Wednesday, September 14, 2011.
