Notes

A 2.75 GPA is required to enter the teacher education program.  However, the number of students is limited and those with the highest gpa's are admitted first.  Further, a passing score on the GACE or minimum SAT score of 1000 must be met.

 

Must Document 50 hours of pre-professional experience and submit a pre-professional portfolio.

 

 

 

(*)Must be proficient in a foreign language at the 1002 level. Span is preferred.

 

A 2.75 GPA is required to enter the teacher education program along with a passing score on the GACE or having a minimum SAT score of 1000.

 

Further, all courses in Area A should have been met with a minimum grade of "C".

 

 

(*)Must be proficient at the 1002 level. If a student is not proficient in a language, s(he) should take Spanish

 

(**)When choosing courses in these areas, be sure to choose courses that appropriately complement the requirements and options of the chosen specialization areas of reading/English, and/or mathematics and/or science in Area F and the related Areas C and D.

 

Must have a Religions of the World or Introduction to World Philosophy course.

 

A 2.5 GPA is required to enter the teacher education program along with a passing score on GACE a minimum  SAT score of 1000. In addition, all courses in Area A, Comm 1100 and Educ 2000 should have been met with a minimum grade of "C".

 

 

As a private institution, the College may require additional courses beyond those listed above in order to meet its core requirements.  The Georgia University System transfer policy does not apply.

A 2.5 GPA is required to enter the teacher education program and there can be no grade below a "C" in any  course.

As a private institution, Brenau may require additional courses beyond those listed above in order to meet its core requirements.  For The Georgia University System transfer policy does not apply.

 

Note: Brenau requires EDU 250 to meet its technology requirement. There is no acceptable GSC equivalency for EDU 250 at this time.

A 2.5 GPA is the minimum required for admission into  Middle Level Education.

Only grades of A, B, C, or K on all A-F course work attempted. Minimal computer competence. Passing score on GACE or SAT score of 1000.

 

University System of Georgia transfer agreement Area F requirements:  Educ 2000, Psyc 2103, Sped 2100 plus an additional 3 hr Math course and 6 additional hours in support of the major. 

Upon completion of the Associate of Science Degree, a transfer student cannot be required by a System senior institution  to take any more hours than required for a degree by that particular

     institution.
