Scholarships
 

The English Department awards six (6) scholarships each semester to English majors. They are as follows:

Hoi Polloi Scholarship is awarded to the editor of Hoi Polloi, the winter semester magazine consisting of student essays. Contact the Humanities Division Office for further information.

Humanities Scholarship is awarded to a student who is in need of financial assistance but not eligible for federal student aid and demonstrates abilities in academics and leadership. Priority is given to English majors with an interest in literature and creative writing. Contact the Humanities Division Office for further information.

Howard-Gwillam Scholarship is awarded to English majors interested in literature and creative writing. Contact the Humanities Division Office for further information.

Neal-Payne Scholarships Two scholarships are awarded to a student who is in need of financial assistance but not eligible for federal student aid and demonstrates abilities in academics and leadership. Priority is given to students with an interest in the Humanities - art, drama, journalism, languages, or music. Contact the Humanities Division Office for further information.

CHESTATEE REVIEW Scholarship is awarded to the editor of the college creative arts magazine CHESTATEE REVIEW. Contact the Humanities Division for further information.
