Program Requirements

The Associate of Arts Degree in Communication empowers our students to develop high quality communication skills, advancing their understanding of the processes, applications, innovations, and power of communication.  This interdisciplinary degree examines how communication affects--and is profoundly affected by--contexts, cultures, modes, media, technologies, global considerations, and personal characteristics.  Coursework, service opportunities, and internships engage and teach students to think critically, communicate effectively, respect diversity, cultivate a reasoned worldview, ethically manage conflict, and utilize innovation in the communication industry.
