When you have to be out of the classroom...

....instead of canceling classes, why not give your students the opportunity to discover their personality type, get in touch with their intuitive side, or organize their time more efficiently?

We can provide your students with a wealth of useful tips and information that can help them be successful.  We invite you to take part in this program and discover the benefits!  To schedule a session, please call the Counseling & Career Services at 678/717-3660.

Dress for Success

Does your students know how to Dress for Success?  This program can teach everyone what is the proper career wear and will give hints on how to succeed in the job market! Come learn how to dress for and be a - SUCCESS!! 

Communication Skills
Are you having trouble getting your point across to others? Do you feel you’re just not being heard? In this interactive program, participants will learn how to communicate effectively and efficiently!

Brain Longevity
This program is a synthesis of current thinking on brain nutrients, activities, and activities that may keep the brain active longer.

Career Planning (GCIS)
Explore why career planning is important, where to begin, available resources, and how to get started.

Choosing A Major
Statistics show that three out of four freshmen are uncertain about a college major and that 70% of all students change majors while in college. This program helps students who may be unsure about choosing a major in exploring their interests and abilities.

Improving Vision
Vision exercises used by the Bates Method of Vision Improvement and taught by Meir Schneider will be demonstrated. Many participants will see a difference in their vision within the first three hours of practice using the exercises.

Relaxation
Topics covered are the physiology of relaxation, various mental (imagery) and physical ways of relaxing, self statements, creative activities to relax, and finding time to relax.

Reducing Testing Anxiety
Topics covered include an exploration of negative thoughts and actions that contribute to testing anxiety, changing those thoughts and actions, nutrition, preparation before a test, and self hypnosis.

Test Taking
Test taking is an art! This program discusses techniques, hints, and tips for taking exams of all types.

Study Skills
A basic overview of effective techniques that have been shown to be helpful for students seeking to learn a large amount of information from textbook and lectures. Topics include reading to learn, note-taking, and preparing for exams.

The Successful Job Search
This program covers all aspects of the job search from resources, resumes, cover letters, interviewing, dressing for success, and follow-up. Mock interviews may also be arranged.

Time Management
This program teaches effective time management skills to help students juggle the many responsibilities of school, work, family, and even a social life!

Working With Dreams
Topics covered include remembering your dreams, methods of writing them down, working with dream symbols, and general dream interpretation techniques.
