Financial Aid Deadlines

Fall Semester:  June 1st

Spring Semester:  Nov 1st

Summer Semester:  April 1st

 

If the deadline has passed, you are still allowed to submit applications and documents. 

 

Students submitting items after the deadline should be prepared to pay tuition and fees then allow the amount of time listed to receive reimbursement.

  • VONAPP - Veterans Online Application Website - This website is an official U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) website that enables veterans (and dependents and survivors) to apply for benefits using the Internet. 

  • Student's Verification of Enrollment - required for Chapter 30 and 1606 each month; will be required for Chapter 1607 effective April 1, 2008

    • W.A.V.E (Web Automated Verification of Enrollment) OR

    • 1-877-823-2378 - toll free Interactive Voice Response (IVR) line

  • VA Question and Answer Service - This is a feature that allows you to search the VA knowledge base for answers using drop-down menus and search text.  When you are unable to find your answer by searching the knowledge base, you can submit a question to the support staff.

 

Other Benefits:

  • Georgia HERO Scholarship (Helping Educate Reservists and their Offspring) - The purpose of the HERO Scholarship is to provide educational scholarship assistance to members of the Georgia National Guard and U.S. Military Reservists who served in combat zones and the children and the surviving spouses of such members of the Georgia National Guard and U.S. Military Reserves.  For detailed requirements and to obtain the application, go to gacollege411.org/FinAid/ScholarshipsAndGrants/hero_program.asp

  • Tuition Assistance is coordinated through your unit and the Business Affairs Office.  The Financial Aid Office does not have a role in the processing of Tuition Assistance.

  • All students are encouraged to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
